18ct Gold Diamond, Sapphire & Multi Gem. Italian Bracelet (Brevetto)
R95,000.00
This fabulous, superb quality, early Italian ‘Brevetto’ 18ct gold, diamond and multi-gemstone bracelet is made up of twenty-five, beautiful gold panels with cutout floral detail, topped with silver. Each panel is individually decorated with natural diamonds and gemstones, some featuring flowers set with aquamarines (13) in the centre surrounded by pink sapphire petals (83) and four flower buds set with garnets, along with numerous small, rose-cut diamonds (89) making up the leaves. Among the panels are also four, lovely natural blue sapphires, a large round sapphire (1,08ct) in the middle, two large oval sapphires (= 0,93ct), one on each end and a smaller round sapphire set in one of the flowers. The bracelet was probably made around the 1940/50’s in Italy, is stamped ‘BREVETTO’ on the clasp. It measures 19cm in length, has a width of 1,3cm and weighs 29,3g. It’s in excellent condition with a secure ‘push-in’ clasp along with an added safety catch on the side.
This impressive bracelet comes with a detailed independent valuation with a replacement of R300 000, a copy of which is listed in the photographs. (The valuation was done by a reputable Gemmologist but doesn’t take antiquity and rarity into consideration).
