Adorable Royal Worcester ‘August’ Child Figurine (3441)

This adorable, very early, hand painted, fine bone china figurine of a young girl sitting on a rock, gazing at a leaping fish, is in excellent condition. Titled ‘August’, she was made in 1953 in England by the well-known Royal Worcester factory. She was modelled by ‘Freda Doughty’ (1895 – 1972) and was part of their original ‘months of the year’ series. The shape number ‘3441’ was in production from 1949 to 1983 and the back stamp dates this piece to 1953, making it one of the early ones. She stands 12,5cm high, with a base measurement of 10,8cm x 8cm.
