Amazing 9ct Gold Cameo Brooch/Pendant

This early, beautifully carved cameo features a lady and two small cherubs, one on either side of her. The cameo is carved from cornelian shell and is set in an oval 9ct gold frame decorated with a gold twisted rope around the edge. With a secure pin and hanger, it can be worn either as a pendant or brooch. It is in excellent condition and dates to the early 1900’s. It is stamped ‘9ct’ on the inside of the frame, measures 4.5cm x 3.3.cm and weighs 12.3g.
