Antique 18ct Gold, Diamond & Seed Pearl Pendant/Brooch

This fabulous, Victorian, 18ct gold diamond and seed pearl brooch or pendant has a lovely starburst shape with the six points of the star set with seed pearls graduating in size and branching out in between, are six sparkling ‘Old European’ cut diamonds (6 x 0.15ct). The centre, in the shape of a raised flower features an ‘Old European’ cut diamond (0.20ct) with a row of pearls around it. This fine quality and beautifully crafted piece is fitted with a small, hinged hanger at the back, so it can either be worn as a brooch or pendant. It’s in excellent condition with a secure pin and comes with a small safety chain. The brooch measures 2,7cm x 2,7cm and weighs 7,5g.

This lovely piece comes with a detailed valuation, with a replacement of R76 300.00, a copy of which is listed in the photographs. (The valuation was done by a very reputable Gemmologist, but it doesn’t take antiquity and rarity into consideration).
