Antique Chinese Blue & White Tea Caddy (Signed)

This fabulous, signed, antique Chinese tea caddy with lid, is square shaped with four beautifully hand-painted and glazed blue and white panels, featuring a traditional Chinese village with pagodas, trees, flowers, boats, and a single butterfly or insect in a corner of each panel. The tea caddy has nice wear to the base and probably dates to the early or mid-1800’s and is signed with a small, blue underglaze signature on the base. Other than a minor rough edge on the rim opening and a tiny piece of flaking on one corner, it’s in superb condition for its age and comes complete with its original lid, which often get broken or go missing. The tea caddy measures 7cm x 7cm, stands 11cm high and weighs 230g.
