Antique Chinese Mother-of-Pearl Gaming Counters in an Ivory Box

These very early, beautifully engraved mother-of-pearl gaming counters or chips are housed in a small, circular, hand carved ivory lidded box. There are eight counters, which are engraved on both sides and measure 3.2cm in diameter. All are in excellent condition. The lid of the antique ivory container has been intricately carved with two characters under a cherry blossom tree. It stands 2.5cm high, with a diameter of 4cm. The box has age related cracks but otherwise is in good condition.
