Antique Mother-of-Pearl Handled Dessert Knives & Forks (Cased)

This beautiful, very good quality, antique, cased set of twenty-four silver-plated dessert knives and forks with lovely ‘Mother-of-Pearl’ handles, date to the early 1900’s. The knives have an attractive, engraved pattern on one side of the blade, and both the knives and forks are stamped ‘EPNS A1’ on the back. The set comes in a solid wood, hinged, fitted case lined with blue velvet. The knives and forks are in excellent condition, with no ware to the plating, and the case is structurally sound but shows signs of early repairs and age-related ware. The knives measure 19,5cm in length with the forks 16,5cm, and the case measures 32,5cm x 24cm x 6cm, and together the set weighs 1,75kg.
