Antique Pair Of Large Irish Silver Mustard Spoons (1849)

This wonderful, solid silver pair of large, antique Irish mustard spoons are in excellent condition with a good weight and nice clear hallmarks. They were made in Dublin in 1849 by silversmiths ‘John Smyth’ and are also stamped on the back ‘R. PETER’ (Richard Peter), who were the original retailers in Dublin. The handles are shaped in the ‘Old English’ style and finely engraved with an early family crest. The spoons measure 12cm in length and together they weigh 27,3g.
