Antique Silver & Crystal Trinket Jar & Lid

This lovely, antique, crystal trinket jar and sterling silver lid from the early 1900’s, stands 4,5cm high with a diameter of 5cm and weighs 85,8g (7,6g silver lid). The jar is cut in an unusual diamond & criss-cross pattern with a star-cut base, and the silver lid is decorated with a lovely, repousse floral pattern silver with a blank round cartouche in the middle. The round central cartouche appears to have been added later to cover an earlier engraving that must have pierced the silver, otherwise it’s in great condition. The lid is stamped on the side ‘STERLING 925 FINE’.
