This lovely quality, antique, English hallmarked, sterling silver ‘Rat-Tail’ sugar spoon was made in 1910, in Sheffield by silversmiths (A&D) ‘Allen & Darwin’ (Charles James Allen & Sidney Darwin). It’s in excellent condition, made from a thick gauge of silver and has a pronounced ‘rat-tail’ on the back of the bowl with a raised middle ridge along the front of the handle. The spoon measures 13,4cm x 4,5cm at its widest and weighs 37g.
