Antique Sterling Silver ‘Art Nouveau’ Photo Frame (1904)

This wonderful, antique, solid silver ‘art nouveau’ photo frame has a fabulous shape with a heart design in the centre. It was made in 1904 by the sought after silversmith ‘Henry Matthews’ (H.M) in Birmingham, England, and has a clear set of hallmarks. The frame is easel backed, with its original velvet backing and although the velvet is slightly tatty and faded (can’t be seen from the front), the photo frame is in great condition. It stands 19cm high with a width of 14,3cm and weighs 230g.
