Antique Sterling Silver Sauce/Gravy Ladel (1847)

This great quality silver sauce or gravy ladle is English hallmarked for London 1847, with a maker’s mark ‘S.H.D.C.’ for silversmiths ‘Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater.’ There is a faded crest on the top of the handle that I can’t make out. It is in excellent condition and measures 17cm in length, with a bowl width of 6cm x 5cm and weight of 49.3g.
