Boer War – Early ‘Seaforth Highlanders’ Cap Badge (3 x Lugs)

This early, original, scarce, white metal Boer War era ‘Seaforth Highlanders’ cap badge is in excellent condition, with lovely detail and 3 x lugs intact. The 2^nd Battalion of the Seaforth Highlanders were present during the Boer War and suffered heavy losses at the Battle of Magersfontein and the Battle of Paardeberg. Their motto on the badge, ‘CUIDICH’N RIGH’ is Gaelic for ‘HELP THE KING’ - only one of two regiments in the British Army with a Gaelic motto. It measures 5.7cm x 6cm.
