Boer War – Q.S.A. Medal ‘CIV: FARR: – A.V.D.’ (H. JOHNSTON)

This original, full size ‘Queen South Africa’ medal with five clasps: Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901 and 1902 was issued to a ‘Civilian Farrier, H. Johnston from the Army Veterinarian Department’ (AVD). Sadly, the medal has come away from its suspender, which I’ve read, can be repaired by a jeweller, and other than the attachment, the medal is nicely tarnished, in excellent condition and un-researched.
