Boer War – Scarce ‘Border Mounted Rifles’ Hat Badge (1894-1902)

This scarce, original, Victorian, darkened bronze metal slouch hat badge with green felt ‘rosette’ backing, was worn by the ‘Border Mounted Rifles’ (B.M.R.) between 1894 and 1902. The badge is in excellent condition with lugs (3) intact and measures 60mm x 48mm (65mm in diameter with felt backing).
