Cape of Good Hope Medal – ‘Pte. R. Pinnock. Special Police’ (1880 – 1897)

This original, full size ‘Cape of Good Hope General Service Medal’ with the ‘Bechuanaland’ clasp was awarded to ‘PTE. R. PINNOCK’ who served with the ‘Special Police’, of the ‘Cape Police, District No.2’, with the rim of the medal reading ‘SPL. POL.’. This medal is un-researched, but confirmed on the roll, is in excellent condition, nicely tarnished and comes with its original ribbon.

Note: I’ve noticed on the QSA medal roll, that there’s a QSA medal (Def. of Kimberley) issued to the same rank, initial and surname, who was taken prisoner. Very possibly the same person.
