Early Copeland Spode ‘Minerva’ Pattern Trio
R295.00
This lovely, 1940’s, bone china, Copeland Spode trio is decorated in the colourful ‘Minerva’ pattern. The plate and saucer have colourful garlands of leaves and flowers around the sides and both have a bouquet of flowers in the middle, all in pinks, blues, greens and purples. The cup has the same colourful garland around the top, with a large bouquet underneath. All three pieces have a patterned green border, finished off with a gilt edging. Each piece is stamped ‘SPODE COPELAND CHINA ENGLAND’ ‘MINERVA’ on the base and the cake plate is impressed with a mark dating the trio to 1947. There is no wear to the gilding and all three pieces are in excellent condition.
