This striking ‘St. George’ medal from the ‘Pioneer Lodge’ is in the form of a large five-pointed silver star with a blue enamel centre. The top bar has the No. 235. The inscription on the back reads ‘PRESENTED TO WOR. BRO. T.E. HALSAM FOR SERVICES RENDERED 1959/60.’ The star is marked silver and the top bar, centre motif, front wording and the circle around the enamel have all been tested by a jeweller as 9ct (+- 12 grams). The medal is in excellent condition. It measures 10.5cm x 6cm and weighs 43g.
