Early Multi-Coloured Murano Art Glass Bowl

This exquisite 1950/60’s Venetian freeform glass bowl/ashtray was manufactured on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. The bowl has a solid dark blue bottom, and the interior has a wonderful array of colours in ribbon work decorated with shimmering silver leaf. These early multi-coloured range of Murano pieces were often referred to as the ‘Tutti Frutti’ range. Other than two minor knocks or bruising to the interior of the bowl it is in excellent condition. It measures 17cm x 15.5cm and stands 6cm high.
