R7,950.00
This very collectable, exquisite, early Victorian silver vinaigrette was made in 1830 in Birmingham, England by ‘Nathaniel Mills’ (N.M), known for his superior quality and one of the most renowned British silversmiths who specialised in vinaigrettes and snuff boxes and whose pieces have become sought after by collectors around the world. This vinaigrette is very unusual in that it is entirely gilded, inside and out. It’s rectangular in shape with fine engine turned decoration on all sides with a small vacant cartouche on the lid and the hinged grille has a pretty, floral pierced and engraved pattern. This superb quality piece is in mint condition and is richly gilded with nice clear hallmarks. It measures 33mm x 25mm x 10mm and weighs 18,5g.
