Large Royal Doulton ‘Wild Roses’ Bowl

This lovely, early, large Royal Doulton fruit bowl or centre piece has been beautifully hand painted in a floral design with vibrant colours against a mottled blue background known as the ‘Wild Roses’ pattern. The bowl has a scalloped edge with a dark brown trim, and the Royal Doulton back stamp and painted series number ‘D6227’ on the back. Other than some minor crazing on the base, it has a wonderful glaze and is in excellent condition. The bowl has a top diameter of 30cm, stands 6cm high and weighs 1445g.
