Large Vintage ‘Cut-Crystal’ Water Jug

This impressive, large, early, very good quality cut-crystal water jug is in excellent condition and one of the nicest I’ve come across. It has a wonderful shape with various hand-cut ‘crisscross’ patterns that reflect the light beautifully, and due to the thickness of the crystal has a good weight. I’m unable to find an acid etched mark on the base from one of the makers but in my opinion, this jug is from one of the top crystal factories, like ‘Stuart’ or ‘Edinburgh’ crystal. It stands 22cm high, with a 13cm diameter at its widest, a spout to handle measurement of 22cm and weighs 1,63kg.
