Rare Boer War – ‘P.O.W’ Paper Beaded Necklace

This amazing, super rare, antique ‘Prisoner of War’ sweetheart necklace from the Boer War is in exceptional condition, considering that it’s over a hundred and twenty years old. It’s a long necklace with a double tassel-like pendant, which consists of thirty-four, finely rolled-up, long paper beads, with hand-carved small round black beads in-between, with tiny blue beads on either side. I acquired this amazing piece, roughly forty years ago, directly from a descendant who had looked after it. The necklace part measures 110cm in length, with the tassel part measuring 11cm.
