This fabulous, rare, heavy, solid silver antique (George I) sugar caster from the early 1700’s has a lovely octagonal shape with a stepped pedestal base and a beautifully hand-pierced pull-off lid. It was made in London in 1728 and is stamped ‘EP’ on the base, possibly for ‘Edward Pocock’, an early 18th century silversmith. This impressive and very early sugar caster is in amazing condition and a rare piece considering it’s nearly three hundred years old. It stands 15,5cm high, has a diameter of 5,5cm at its widest and weighs 260g.
