Rare Large ‘Rhodesia & Nyasaland’ Metal Building Plaque (Federal Parliament Salisbury)

This rare, impressive, large, heavy metal and enamel painted building plaque features the coat of arms of the ‘Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland’ used between 1954 and 1964, and according to a note on the back, from the ‘Federal Parliament in Salisbury’. The plaque has lovely detail with original paintwork and colours, and other than some minor paint loss, it’s in excellent condition. On the back, there are three old notes written on tape ‘COAT OF ARMS 1954 – 1964’, ‘FEDERAL PARLIAMENT SALISBURY’ and ‘FEDERATION OF RHODESIA AND NYASALAND’. The plaque measures 39,5cm x 38cm and weighs 2,82kg.
