Rare Royal Doulton Tobacco Jar/Humidor & Lid (D1971)

This rare, antique, Royal Doulton tobacco jar and cover, or humidor from the early 1900’s is in excellent condition. It’s in a shape very seldom seen, with a brass rotating clamp and screw attached to the lid for sealing the jar tightly. The jar is decorated and hand-painted in the early white Dickens ware series, depicting ‘Mr Micawber’, and carry’s the early series ware backstamp as well as the pattern number ‘D1971’. It has a diameter of 13,5cm, stands 10cm high and weighs 1030g.
