Royal Worcester ‘Grandmothers Dress’ Figurine (3081)

This charming, early, hand painted, Royal Worcester porcelain figurine, titled ‘Grandmothers Dress’ (3081), features a young girl in a blue oversized dress with a white frill, wearing a white bonnet. She was made around the 1940’s and designed by ‘Freda G. Doughty’, who modelled these figures in a few other colours, red, pink, green and yellow, which were first produced in 1935 and retired in 1983. The base has the early black ‘Royal Worcester’ backstamp and model number ‘3081’, along with the words ‘Grandmothers Dress’ ‘Modelled by F.G.  Doughty’ handwritten in puce. This wonderful figure is in excellent condition and stands 16cm high with a base measurement of 11cm at its widest.
