Scarce ‘1939 Royal Visit to USA’ China Plate

This fairly large china plate was produced to celebrate the royal visit to the United States of America in 1939, by their ‘Majesties King George VI & Queen Elizabeth’. This is the first time in thirty years of trading that I’ve come across a royal plate celebrating a USA visit. Made in ‘Stoke-on–Trent, England by ‘Grays Pottery’, it has a colourful royal coat of arms in the centre with a lovely acorn and leaves border with a gilt edge. The plate is in good condition and has a diameter of 27,3cm.
