Scarce ‘Kalahari’ Studio Pottery Wall Plate

This scarce, South African pottery, round wall plate was made by the very sort after ‘Kalahari’ Studio potteries in Cape Town around the 1950’s and depicts a lovely, hand painted scene of a springbok with her suckling calf. The plate is decorated in matt brown and grey colours against a kaki background with white enamel highlights and is signed ‘KALAHARI’ on the back. This wonderful plate is in excellent condition and measures 26cm in diameter.
