This wonderful, early, hand painted Royal Worcester porcelain figurine titled ‘Playmates’ (3270), features a young girl in a blue dress, playing with her dog on a green patch of grass. She was designed in the late 1930’s by ‘Freda G. Doughty’ and put in production for a short period, until she was discontinued in 1959. The base has the early black ‘Royal Worcester’ backstamp used between 1944 and 1955, and handwritten in puce, ‘Playmates’ ‘Modelled by F.G.  Doughty’. This scarce figure has a tiny paint chip on the side of the brown base, otherwise it’s in great condition. She stands 17,5cm high with a base measurement of 9cm x 6cm.
