Small Royal Doulton ‘Sairey Gamp’ Character Jug

This early, small, Royal Doulton character jug ‘Sairey Gamp’ was produced between 1935 and 1986 and designed by ‘Leslie Harradine and Harry Fenton’. ‘Sairey Gamp’ was a gossiping, gin drinking midwife character from the ‘Charles Dickens’ 1843 novel, ‘Martin Chuzzlewit’. This lovely hand painted jug is in excellent condition and measures 10,5cm x 7,2cm with a height of 8cm.
