Spectacular Gold & Diamond Miniature Portrait Pendant/Brooch

This incredible solid gold, hand painted miniature portrait pendant or brooch from the 1930/40’s, is one of the nicest portraits I’ve come across in forty years of trading. The portrait of a lady, has been beautifully hand painted with a small signature near the edge. It has also been decorated with three well placed small diamonds in the head piece, earring and necklace which pick up the light and sparkle. The portrait sits behind glass and is mounted in a solid 9ct gold decorative oval frame with gold backing, pin and hanger. The back plate is stamped ‘9K’, and to confirm, all pieces were tested by my jeweller as 9ct gold. It can be worn either as a brooch or pendant and measures 4,2cm x 3,4cm (excluding hanger), and weighs 11,7g. The pendant is in excellent condition.
