Stunning Antique Paste & Tortoise Shell Hair Comb (Cased)

This fabulous, elegant, probably Victorian, tortoise shell and paste hair comb is beautifully made and comes with its original, custom-made leatherette hinged case. It is set with numerous clear paste stones, three large green paste stones and seven pearls, which are all mounted in a gilded metal. The comb measures 10,5cm x 8cm with a weight of 36,9g and other than a few tiny paste stones missing it’s in excellent condition. The case measures 14cm x 11,5cm, with a height of 4cm and together with the comb weighs 184g. This is honestly, the nicest hair comb I’ve come across in over forty years of trading, and to top it off with its original box.
