This superb, early 1900’s, Sheffield made, silver-plated spirit kettle on stand is of a very high quality and is in excellent condition. There is no loss of plating, the interior is spotless, and all parts are intact. The tea kettle is oval with a hinged lid and a fluted/ribbed pattern halfway down. The stand has fluted/ribbed legs with pad like feet and comes complete with the burner, original pins/keys and chains. The rear pin can be removed to tilt the tea pot on the front hinge or both pins to remove the tea pot altogether. The hallmarks impressed on the base of the tea pot are 'W.A.' for makers 'William Aitken' 'EPNS' 'MADE IN SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND' '76030.' The measurements are: Tea pot: spout to rear-24cm, width-12cm, height to finial-14.5cm, height to handle-22cm. Stand height-11cm, with a combined height of 33cm and weight of 1255g.
