Union of S.A. – Silver ‘Efficiency Decoration’ (CAPT. H. Smith)

This original, full-size, silver ‘Efficiency Decoration’ with ‘Union of South Africa’ bar was awarded for ‘Long and Meritorious Service’. It was presented to ‘Captain Hume Smith’ of the ‘Active Citizen Force’ and is engraved on the reverse ‘CAPT. H. SMITH – GEN. LIST, A.C.F.’ The decoration and bar are solid silver with lovely gilding and the back of the bar is stamped ‘925’ and ‘S.A.M.’ for the ‘South African Mint’. This decoration is in excellent condition, complete with ribbon and comes with its original box.
