V/Rare ‘Tasmania Police’ Breast Badge (Numbered)

This very rare, original, brass with white metal number (621) and blue enamel ‘Tasmanian Police’ numbered breast badge is the earlier, and only version I could across, as the others on the net are the later version, made of a light brass alloy metal with the semi-circle of blue enamel. This badge is made of solid brass with a nice weight, without the semi-circle of blue enamel around ‘TASMANIA’. The badge has some minor enamel damage and early lead solder holding the number in place, otherwise it’s in good condition with both lugs intact and measures 72mm x 60mm.
