Victorian 18ct Gold, Sapphire & Diamond Ring
This fabulous, antique, 18ct gold sapphire and diamond ring from the late 1800’s, has a very attractive setting that I haven’t come across before. It is beautifully made and features two conjoined round clusters, set with two large, very good quality and colour blue sapphires (4,30mm each), surrounded with a row of eighteen small ‘rose-cut’ diamonds (= 0,36ct G/H – VS/SI), with four small sapphires, two on each shoulder (2,00mm each). This amazing ring is in great condition considering its in the region of 130 years old. It has a ring size of ‘K 1/2’ and weighs 3,4g.
This special piece comes with a detailed valuation, with a replacement value of R46 960, a copy of which is listed below. (The valuation was done by a very reputable independent jeweller, but doesn’t take antiquity and rarity into consideration)
