Victorian Silver Topped Hat-Pin Jar (1898)

This lovely, antique, solid silver topped, crystal hat-pin jar was made in 1898 in London, England by silversmiths (Army & Navy Cooperative Society Ltd) ‘Frederick Bradford Macrea’ (FBM). The round silver lid is beautifully embossed with flowers and engraved with a monogram in the centre, and other than a small chip under the lid to the rim of the jar it’s in excellent condition. It stands 17cm high, with a base diameter of 3,5cm and a lid diameter of 4,2cm.
