Victorian Solid Silver ‘Stilton Cheese Scoop’ (1861)

This superb, fine quality, antique, sterling silver ‘stilton cheese scoop’ with a lovely carved ‘Mother-of-Pearl’ handle is in excellent condition with nice clear hallmarks. It is beautifully made from a thick gauge of silver, giving it a good weight and feel in the hand. It was made in 1861 in Sheffield, England by silversmiths ‘Henry Wilkinson & Co’ (HW&Co), who were later taken over by ‘Walker & Hall’ in 1892. The cheese scoop measures 26,5cm in length and weighs 90g.
