Vintage ‘Stuart’ Crystal Decanter (Glencore)

This good quality, early, ‘Stuart’ crystal decanter has a lovely bulbous shape with a double ringed neck fitted with a mushroom shaped stopper and probably dates to the 1960/70’s. It is beautifully hand-cut in the popular ‘Glencore’ pattern with a star-cut topped stopper and base. The decanter is in excellent condition with a good weight and carries the ‘Stuart ENGLAND’ acid etched stamp on the base. It stands 23,5cm high with stopper, with a rough diameter of 13cm at its widest and weighs 1330g.

Note: The ‘Stuart Crystal’ factory was very well known for their exceptional quality and started manufacturing in the late 1880’s in England until they sadly closed their doors in 2001.
