WW1 – Austria/Hungary Red Cross ‘1864-1914’ Medal/War Decoration (Lady’s)

This early, Austro-Hungarian, female recipient, silver & enamel WW1 ‘Red Cross Merit Medal (1864-1914) with War Decoration’, on a lady’s bow is in great condition with original ribbon. The bow measures 6,5cm x 4cm and the medal measures 4,9cm x 3,6cm and weighs 29,4g with ribbon. The ring is stamped with a small ‘A’ (silver quality mark of the Vienna Mint).

NOTE: This decoration was awarded to voluntary nurses and Red Cross personnel for meritorious service in wartime.
