WW1 ‘K.I.A’ Memorial Death Plaque & Frame (George Thomas Clark)
R2,450.00
This original, round, WW1 bronze Memorial Plaque named to ‘GEORGE THOMAS CLARK’ is framed in a scarce, hammered copper cross frame with a circular wreath bearing the dates of the First World War. The frame is stamped on the back by the makers ‘Wright & Son, Edgeware, Middlesex, England’ and comes complete with its clip in stand. These early ‘Maltese Cross’ style copper frames are quite rare as they weren’t issued with death plaque but could be purchased separately as an optional way of displaying it. The plaque and frame are in great condition and measure 20cm x 20cm and weighs 535g.
