WW1 – ‘Verners’ Pattern (U.S. Engineers Corps) Compass with Leather Case (Cruchon & Emons)

Sold!

This lovely, early brass WW1 ‘U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ military prismatic compass comes with its original leather case and was manufactured by ‘Cruchon & Emons’ who had factories in England, France and Switzerland. The front of the compass is stamped ‘ENGINEERS CORPS U.S.’ and on the base ‘C-E’ for the maker, dated ‘1918’ and ‘No 60257’. Other than some wear to the blackened brass finish on the case, it appears to be in great condition with a functioning dial. The leather case is stamped ‘MODELE DEPOSE’.
