15ct Gold Antique Muff Chain (136cm)

This wonderful, fine quality, long, antique 15ct gold muff chain has an unusual and very attractive fancy link, alternating between knots and short bars. The chain measures 136cm in length and comes attached with a sprung dog clasp where a pendant could be attached. This superb piece is in excellent condition with a lovely rose-gold colour and weighs 28,7g.

NOTE: Muff chains are long chains which were popular during the Victorian period, worn around the neck to secure ladies’ muffs. A muff was a cylindrical piece of warm material or fur, used to keep the hands warm in winter.
