1950’s Poole Pottery ‘Freeform/Contemporary’ Vase

This lovely, scarce, 1950’s, hand painted Poole pottery vase, I believe is from the earlier ‘Contemporary’ range (1950/1), where the shapes were designed by ‘Claude Smale & Guy Sydenham’ with the patterns being designed by ‘Alfred Read’. The super piece is in great condition and carries the ‘POOLE ENGLAND’ stamp on the base, along with the impressed shape number ‘185’ and the ‘yfc’ pattern or design code. The vase has a diameter and height of 12cm and weighs 485g.
