9ct Gold ‘Art Nouveau’ Pendant (Murrle Bennet & Co)

This fabulous, very early, 9ct gold ‘Art Nouveau’ pendant has a wonderful shape, is beautifully crafted with ‘open work’ and flowing lines and set with a lovely heart shaped and faceted natural amethyst in the centre, along with a single seed pearl below, and below that, a dangling oval-cut amethyst. It was crafted by famed makers ‘Murrle Bennet & Co’ (1891-1914), whose pieces are considered highly collectable today. This Scarce gold pendant is in superb condition and is stamped ‘Mbo’ enclosed in a ‘C’. It measures 3,8cm in length (without hanger) by 1,7cm across and weighs 2,6g.
