Amazing Pair of Solid Silver ‘Bird’ Salt & Pepper Shakers

 This beautiful pair of early solid silver salt & pepper shakers are realistically modelled in the form of birds with amazing detail. They are heavy and very well made with hinged flat bases for filling purposes. The silver shakers are both hallmarked on their bases with Spanish hallmarks, dating these to around the 1930/40’s. They stand 5cm high, with a length of 6,8cm, a width of 3cm and together weigh 125,3g. The birds are in excellent condition and their hinged bases work well and click shut.
