Amazing ‘W.M.F.’ Art Nouveau ‘Maiden’ Handle Dish

This very attractive Art Nouveau fruit or confectionary dish, with a winged, semi-clad maiden handle, was manufactured by the well known and highly collectable German factory ‘W.M.F.’ (Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik) around 1900/1910. It is beautifully decorated with leaves and cherries, in relief and is in excellent condition. The base is stamped with a shape number ‘80’ and ‘WMF. EP’ ‘OX’ and sit on four, small, round feet. It measures 31.5cm x 18cm, with a height of 9cm and weighs 630g.
