Antique Cased Silver Christening Spoon & Fork Set

This lovely quality, antique, sterling silver Christening set, is in excellent condition and comes presented in its original case. The silver spoon and fork have beautiful matching handles, decorated in relief with an ornately framed ‘putti’ on each. Both pieces have a good, solid weight and are English hallmarked on the back for Sheffield 1911 & 1912 along with ‘W&H’ for well-known silversmiths ‘Walker & Hall’ (1853 – 1971). The pair comes with its original fitted burgundy coloured case, lined with purple satin and velvet and is gilt stamped under the lid ‘WALKER & HALL’ ‘SHEFFIELD & CAPETOWN’. The spoon measures 14,5cm, the fork measures 15cm and together they weigh 51,8g.
