Antique Japanese Cloisonne ‘Koro Censer’ Incense Burner
This wonderful, fine quality, antique Japanese cloisonne enamel ‘Koro Censer’ incense burner jar and lid from the Meiji Period (1868-1912), has a lovely shape and stands on three small, rounded feet. It is beautifully decorated in fine detail with a large, colourful exotic bird or phoenix, butterflies, and numerous flowers, all against a dark blue enamelled background, and even the base has wonderful detail with a butterfly and flowers. This lovely burner/vase stands 10,5cm high with a width of 8cm at its widest and weighs 171g, and other than a tiny enamel chip to the base it’s in excellent condition.
